The good part of the exhibition is that it gives exposure for a wide range of pictures.
So as long as you go into it with no expectations other than that of letting a wide audience see you pictures...

I have never sold a picture I have taken...though I have had a couple used in guide books and one is currently being incorporated into a Victorian Heritage journal.

As for the imperfections you see in your picture, I think you are being too critical. The picture has a 'life' about...

I took himself into the Library today to show him some of the pictures...seeing as he could not be prised off the sofa last night.

I liked the Eagle and also the Kingfisher......the skill in those shots was far greater than that needed to capture a light bulb...or a set of pavement furniture....but I suppose pictures are very...

It might be that you are only allowed to donate for your own pics.
The two that I have chosen would look good on my picture wall...one is a monochrome pic and the other is a shot taken on a day trip...

I think there might be a difference in the printing......if they have been printed and mounted for to competition.....they might be worth giving a donation for.

The thing about the professionals is that they have far more advanced equipment at their disposal than the amateur......sort of makes them streets ahead.....unless of course those running the comp...
