My mother used to use caughtning if you thought you were going to be sick but managed to swallow it back down. I don't know how to spell it either.

My mother used to call something that wasn't very reliable a "Willta, conta". Presumably, will you make it go, can you make it go.

I've really enjoyed reading this thread. Lot's of things my mother used to say. Sad to think they've gone out of use.
