I don't think you fully understand the what is going on here, PM01 lives in Suffolk, works for an animal rescue center and is helping find a lost dog in the Accrington area. All she is doing is...

I suspect it fell out and blew away, as the open end was facing down, I didnt want to mention it first time, as people were making the effort

The one featured on facebook (attached to a metal fence adjacent the canal ) was missing but the a4 plastic cover was still sellotaped to the fence.
It did make me thing the dog had been found, but...

Just walked on canal from clayton to chirch kirk bridge , no sign on canal or adjoining fields. no sign either from chirch kirk bridge down past dunkenhalgh to Rishton dip.
