Re: Would AccyWebbers like a Parliamentary hustings?

I thought it was a partial 'climb down', at least according to the news I heard?

Re: Would AccyWebbers like a Parliamentary hustings?

Is Peter Britcliffe planning to change the name of that too?

My, my, he is influential down in London...just not at Conservative Central Office.

Re: Would AccyWebbers like a Parliamentary hustings?

Stil seems an odd thing to do.

To rename something, for no good reason.

A little like that daft plan from a couple of years back, to change the name of the borough, until an angry public...

Re: Would AccyWebbers like a Parliamentary hustings?

Seems rather odd then.

All the fanfare and publicity in the press the other year, about it being renamed, and relaunched as the 'Oswaldtwistle Social Club'.

Re: Would AccyWebbers like a Parliamentary hustings?

I think the public need to be made aware of this.

You don't want anyone social walking in there, under the misunderstanding that it was an ordinary social club, as the new name seems to suggest.

Re: Would AccyWebbers like a Parliamentary hustings?

A good capitalist, would allow anyone into their premises, as long as the price is right.

I'll pass on the details about Rishton, to my friends in the Transgender Neo-Nazis NW Branch.

Re: Would AccyWebbers like a Parliamentary hustings?

They experienced falling numbers, and it was probably a good idea to close the Conservative Club, and re-open it as a non-affiliated social club.

Apparently they still have meetings there, which...

Re: Would AccyWebbers like a Parliamentary hustings?

Well according to Conservative Central Office in London, there's at least one that is redundant, and remains unwanted.

Re: Would AccyWebbers like a Parliamentary hustings?

I thought because of the grand renaming ceremony the other year, in order to stem dwindling numbers, it no longer had any political affilations, and the local Conservative Association just held their...

Re: Would AccyWebbers like a Parliamentary hustings?

Only moderators (names in black) can delete posts, usually for bad language, or if they're reported.

Most times you get a pm, telling you why it was deleted.

If you didn't, and are worried as...

You're so highly cultured.

I was thinking more like mixing Fishy On a Little Dishy (When da Boat Comes Tin), with Brass.

Re: Would AccyWebbers like a Parliamentary hustings?

The Oswaldtwistle Social Club, the redundant Oswaldtwistle Conservative Club, can always find room for bookings.

Re: Would AccyWebbers like a Parliamentary hustings?

A bluestocking no less!

The candidate for The Wealth & Suffrage Movement, demanding the rowdy, unwashed, toil weary rabble quietens down, whilst she makes her heartfelt demands heard, that the...

Re: Would AccyWebbers like a Parliamentary hustings?

If it did, it should be online, because we are an internet forum.

There are probaly lots of people, myself included, who might not be able to physically attend a bun fight in the Town Hall.

I...

Re: Would AccyWebbers like a Parliamentary hustings?

If you want a live one, fair enough.

I do think an 'Accy Web' one, an internet forum, should be online...because that's what this forum is.

What does it matter, who can physically deliver the...

Re: Would AccyWebbers like a Parliamentary hustings?
