Yeah i recall the fire at the Cav Jaysay, it was always regarded as an "Insurance Job" but i guess most fires seem to get that rumour attached to them. We used to do some printing for them, and later...

Yep thats the one i was on about. I've been there a few times, when the only adventurous thing i'd have was ruddy Chicken Maryland!! Lol!

I cant recall the other Jaysay, but didn't get up Eanam...

Yes i think your spot on with that Jaysay. As you say, was an awful lot of building work going on around then, as as you say (and the map shows too) that you could then walk straight up Lord Street,...

Yate's Wine Lodge did later move to Church Street Wadey, but i dont recall what year it moved. Wasn't somewhere i used too often, and i cant recall if there was a Chinese upstairs. I do Remember the...

Thanks for that. I can see now where i'd visualised it, but it was up Lord Street not Church Street and on left hand side!

Yes Cashy..i'm 95% certain, because i used to work round the corner on St Peters Street, and i also remember the Italian barbers Pasarini that you can also see in the photo. The more modern Red Brick...

We used to call in there too on the odd pub crawl, or sometimes on the Lunchtime Crimbo Pub drink, i used to work on St,Peters St. Do you remember the Barman...Pearl i think was his nickname...once...
