ha ha ha! Well it went to a good home her family had a farm so it was well looked after out there. :rolleyes:

It was a very friendly cat, used to like sleeping with me and close to my face - I was worried it might accidently smother me while i was asleep - so I gave it to this girl I knew! :D

The cat that had the mushrooms, used to come on walks with me it also used to paw my face very gently, no claws were used - it was very gentle - I wonder if the mushrooms had anything to do with...

Well yeh that's right not to mention wild birds and animals! Which is why I wonder if they really need to be allowed to roam free?

Yeh and cats don't tend to run down the middle of the road? They usually find a nice quiet spot to sit out of harms way, though you do get the occasional ones walking round in the street approaching...

The question I have is do people let cats out on their own but not dogs purely out of social ettiquette? Also because both species behave differently; the cat generally hides or sits out of the way...

Seriously it happened, the cat did it of it's own volition. Mine used to eat grass (not the stuff you smoke) the stuff in fields and lawns, so perhaps it just got confused and thought the mushrooms...

Don't get personal. I have seen these bells that are on some cat collars that do not ring they look like bells but are very muffled. The ones to scare birds are very loud - tinkling...

Are they worn down? Or there are a type of bell that don't make a proper ringing sound but very muffled - sure they arn't the ones you have on your cat? :rolleyes:

That's a good point actually why is it cats are put out at night, yet dogs are kept in? An old bloke near me walks his black cat round the block every day when he's able to!

Good question Sue ;)- I didn't keep them long enough. Had some in 70's and she had kittens and gave them away and can't remember what happened to the adult? Then one I had in the early 80's did...

That nest box was used successfully for 2 years, before this cat found out about it, and then climbed up and scared away the adults for 2 years, causing starvation of the chicks. So the box was...

I noticed today in Daily Express page 4 - "Cats 'pose health risk to humans!'" the claim 70,000 get it every year and if a child is born with it causes damage for life apparently!:confused: Perhaps...

There is one way that works - putting a bell collar on your cat - it stops them from creeping up on birds, the birds hear it and fly off, all good pet shops have them. :D

In somewhere like Accy there is much more space with fields and so on. Here the cats only have other peoples gardens where they kill birds! People should have more responsibility for their pets...

That's not nessararily so - I live in very built up area of London there are 3 cats at least in this area of about 100 sq metres. A pair of Robins built a nest in ivy and one cat set up camp below...
