Looking at the maps I think Antley Syke as it is commonly known on accyweb does not start at Jacobs lodge.

Me and Doug don't agree with that name although we have yet to come up with anything else yet, Tinkerbelle's source came up with Antley Syke but we don't think that is the name for the whole length...

I've never believed any marketing person they do tend to bend the truth. So the bottom line is we still don't know the answer for now.

After studying all the evidence it's my impression that any running water from Moscow Mill Street is Antley Syke but from Jacobs lodge to the bottom of coal pit lane it is something else.

I'm still not totally happy with this name, it was always Springhill clough when I was a lad.
