Re: traditional lancashire hamper - what to put in it?

It is a Jock concoction but I reckon it should be called 'Catholic fish' due to it regularly being served on Fridays for school dinner. Well it seemed like every Friday at St. Mary's in Hassy.

Always used to be Finny/Finnan Haddock for school dinner on Fridays when I were a lad. Is that a Lancashire dish?

According to the Wikipedia article they're also known as Catholic pies. I've never heard that one before.
