Villabe Blacksmith pub, Forts Arms. Shops on Whalley rd, Frank Scambers grocers, Hoyles Long Row, Ramsbottoms, Tildslys, Youngs bakers, Varlys Bakers ( Friday Buttered Pies ). Just to kick this off, anybody remember any other, people, places, or things.
Remember both cinemas ... wasn't the Empress called the "laugh and scratch"? And the swing brig ... and the Village Blacksmith, a Dutton's house. Basil Brierly, the last rag and bone man, used to call in there for a pint.
