The Gamecock is still there, it is now part of one of these child friendly pub chains. The have a play/child area inside and one of those generic menus common to these type of places.
I remember my dad taking us to the Gamecock when we were kids. We weren't allowed in the pub back then, but there was a play area outside and tables for parents to bring their drinks out. If you walked down the field at the back, you could sit on the banks of the Calder.
