Is there still a pub at Cock Bridge?. The shop/ cafe sold the best ice cream in the 50s.

The Gamecock is still there, it is now part of one of these child friendly pub chains. The have a play/child area inside and one of those generic menus common to these type of places.
I remember my dad taking us to the Gamecock when we were kids. We weren't allowed in the pub back then, but there was a play area outside and tables for parents to bring their drinks out. If you walked down the field at the back, you could sit on the banks of the Calder.

We ate there last week, the service was whip lash quick. It was very reasonably priced and my lamb in suet pudding was delicous, and unlike a lot of pubs they serve food all day, after our wasted trail around the pubs in Sabden that had stopped serving lunch.
