Whilst I (and numerous critics/academics before us) would agree with your analysis of 300, I think you have to be careful to separate the ideology of the film from the production process itself.
I was fortunate enough to see 300 on an IMax screen (which are enormous if you've never seen an IMAX film) and was blown away by the spectacular visuals in the film. I have no desire to see the film again, especially on a TV screen, but to dismiss the film entirely because of its hegemonic transmissions is to do it a great disservice, in my opinion.
