Noooooooooo I don't mean I'm going to be racist!

It's just nothing to do with computers.

We've got a telly. We lost the remote. We got one of those 'works with any TV' remotes, couldn't get it to work. We got another one. The instructions may as well be written in Klingon for all the sense I can make of it.

Has anyone had experience of fettling this kind of thing and can you help me out?
