I'd just like to point out that last year Darwen had Mushroom Hunts in Sunnyhurst, several events at Turton Tower and much more. Prior to that the villages of Tockholes and Edgworth as well as the Town centre had lots of events. If you would like a brochure from 2006, 2007 and 2008 to confirm Darwen's activity i will happily supply one. The town was not shafter as you so politely put it.
