I had arranged to go to the Lorry show at the Museum at Leyland today and as it is outside I wasn't looking forward to wandering around in the rain.
I took an old Olympus camera to save ruining one of my better ones and managed one or two outside shots, the others were taken inside the museum.
No.1 Old Morris A.A, van.
No.2 Little Morris eight, Don Frazer inside owns it and also the Holmeswood coaches you see around.
No.3 I drove a few of these Bedford RL's in the army.
No.4 Even Rolls Royce's get wet.
No.5 Time to go inside now, it's too wet. Albion, motto sure as the sunrise, see the sunrays on the radiator.
No.6 I saw these in the workshop, lain undiscovered for years and just been cleaned up, they sell for over twenty quid on ebay.
No.7 The seat in the actual Popemobile, used when he visited Lancashire.
N0.8 You don't see many of these on the streets nowadays.
N0.9 Hello ducky.
No.10 My old mate Clifford grabbed me to dance infront of the organ with him, we drew a crowd and finished up with a few more people in the line up.
Not the best day out taking photos but it was better than sitting at home watching the rain run down the windows.
Lovely old Morris in No.2.
What tune were you dancing to? It looks like a good bit of fun!
A selection of photos from a day out at Patterdale Country show. Events with sheep trials, judging of breeds, dog show and also judging of beautiful hand-made shepherd's crooks. Was a great day out and my god-daughter Ana with Patch, a tri-colour American Cocker Spaniel, won the dog show. Her best friends Sophie and Charlotte with Fizz, a beagle won another category so they were all happy and spent the £3 prize on some treats for the dogs! All the girls and the 2 dogs in the photo with the judge -a Cumbria TV presenter. The boy with the carved "trout" stick had made it himself! Unfortunately we missed the Cumberland wrestling -will be for next year!
If you do it to the tune of "the Hokey Cokey it takes on a whole new dimension. You practise in secluded spots until you get the method down pat, then you can try it in the street, and then move onto shopping centres
It is a beautiful spot, just outside Glennridding on Lake Ullswater - the fells lead over to Helvellyn -there was also a fell race which went over there...was a great day out -lots to see

Looks like an interesting day out -did you know about the connection between the Earl of Lonsdale and the AA -he had a fleet of yellow cars which is why they chose that colour! Love the pic of you dancing -good to see you having such a great time!

I like them very much Maxthecollie, wish I was back up that way again.
The weather has been too bad for me to get out with the camera but I did manage one shot with the camera poking through the patio doors.
I didn't use a tripod either so the beer must be weak tonight.
