Well as some one who worked tirelessly to get that Centre on Harvey Street, with the Youth Support Group, and still have contacts with the place, I feel rather sad about this problems, as I said in an earlier post I will try to speak to Martin today

Why do they have to play such loud music?

It isn't just loud, it's extremely loud.

Can't they show some consideration and not have it blasting out like that?

There's really no need for it and then everyone would be happy.

I agree ....... if they just kept the noise down, I guess we could put up with all the other ............. that goes with it:

maybe they need loud music to keep rythm going during the sex they are having round the back or even to cover up the noise made by said act :D

i heard sex down the back alley can be painfull and could imagine loud music could be needed to cover the screams lol

The dispersal order that Cllr Britcliffe signed last week covers Harvey St, so the police have the power to disperse large groups hanging around. May be, that was enough to keep them inside.

Does the order just cover Oswaldtwisle Gayle?

The one that I know about just covers Union Road area of Osw, including streets coming off it I think.

There may be others around the borough, I just don't know about them.

Ahhh was just wondering why so many were congregated outside the fair last night with nobody moving them on. I do understand that it isn't a problem here ninety nine percent of the time but it was a bit scary to see such a crowd. Would have been okay if they weren't goading each other and spoiling for a fight.

Talked to Mr P B ( things have got a lot better with the youth club ) so fingers crossed they keep it up..... I don't want to spoil their fun, just to ask for not so much noise: also I guess it keeps some of them off the streets ( for a while )

I think they need to revise their opening times.

The facility on Harvey St is run by Lancashire County Council - apparently they have a policy throughout Lancashire about opening times and won't open at weekends.

Are they open this week? I heard they were shut for the Easter holidays. Do you have a link to opening times for the Centre - I have failed to find one yet.
