Nay, lad, it were down by Ellison's Tenement - by the 'Ippodrome, they 'ad ippos and pythons, but they never 'ad none of them wheelie bins, but I do believe, at the 'Ippodrome, they did 'av a very strict bar code (that gets it back on thread, Mick).

Which box/bag do we put pythons in, then?

After some consultation with HBC and the ODOR department they decided that they would issue a new bag green in colour for all Python and similer items of course this will amount in to a small increase in your council tax.

Now that the majority of people have the wheelie bins, has anybody any suggestions on how to keep them from stinking the place out. Or can we use extra large black bin bags?

Re: Wheelie bins, recycling..

I put things into bags before they go in the wheelie bin. There are two reasons behind this. One being that anything which can fly away when the wheelie bins are emptied usually does so but unfortunately it's other people's rubbish which ends up in my front garden. The second reason is that I have a smaller bin at the back door which I put my rubbish in and then when that is full it goes in the wheelie along with smaller bins' contents from different rooms of the house. Each bin has a bag in it and the bag is tied up when full.

That sounds like I have a heck of a lot of rubbish doesn't it? :s_oops:

One thing I don't have is the blue bag for plastic bottles. Is everybody supposed to have one of those? I started off with just the paper sach, then later a blue box for glass and cans was added to that but nothing has ever been said about a blue bag so I make trips to the tip with my plastic bottles.

I am sticking to black bags (put into the wheelie bin of course) simply because I'm too idle to wash my kitchen waste bin out every time.

Thanks for the info on where we put pythons, but how do we get our green bags? Still waiting for blue box - will this mean another small increase in my council ta?
