We never learn do we. I got mixed up with a few old codgers in my one and only visit to the Tanpits club one afternoon and they FORCED 6 pints of Kronenburg 1664 down me, but for my wife telling me what a mess I looked two days after I wouldn't have remember much. |

Re: Old House At Home Pub
Obviously I am a weak willed when it comes to the consuming of alcohol but I did try to resist for as long as it took to answer yes to the question "Will you have another one Grem" to which I replied meekly "Yes, if you insist".
I tried telling that to my wife but she happened to be in the club with me. She told me the taxi driver thought he had lost a passenger on the way home but realized I had slid down onto the floor of the car. Do you know that in about 1947 I got a certificate for writing an essay about the evils of alcohol and the effects on the human body, a few years later I thought "If it is so bad let me get at it". Take heed all you who enter the portals of the evil establishments selling the nasty grog. http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m...lsden/end1.gif and enjoy it. |
