Re: The Pubs of Accrington
No mention of the Woodnook ( farting donkey to the locals) on the corner of Marsden Street and Carter Street
|
Re: The Pubs of Accrington
A added the Woodnook Inn yesterday afternoon.
Where on earth did it get the nickname 'farting donkey'? |
Re: The Pubs of Accrington

|
Re: The Pubs of Accrington
Thanks for the additions - sorry if it gave you a bit of a headache :)
I was born not far from The Woodnook and it is nice to know a bit of history. |
Re: The Pubs of Accrington
What was the name of the pub at the top of Willows Lane near Lynch's?
I seem to remember another on Blackburn Road - Oak Tree? Is Dale Street WMC still there? |
Re: The Pubs of Accrington
Oak Tree was just past Antley inn on opposite side towards Church just past Antley Garage. top willows lane was Red Lion.;)
|
Re: The Pubs of Accrington
Have just tried to put Antley Inn in its correct position n it tells me "Sorry its already listed" i give up.
|
Re: The Pubs of Accrington
Adding another Antley Inn would create a duplicate, that is why it stopped ya.
Where should it be? |
Re: The Pubs of Accrington

|
Re: The Pubs of Accrington

The maps very confusing? 2 Willows Lanes?? one running parallel wi Blackburn Rd? which it dont, it just runs up off blackburn rd, also were it is should be Dale St, which is the first st to parellel Blackburn Rd, I worked on that first section fer 6/7 years.
