Whilst the address is correct Bob, the name of the club is incorrect.

Hello Morecambe Ex. This photo any use for you from 2003 - The Woodnook, now of course turned into a family home. I do have a lot of pub photos, I once had a website and had a section on pubs

That photo will be very useful as would any others you may have. Are they easily accessible or will it require a major search.

If you are familiar with FTP I could set up an account for you to upload them or grab them from an existing web page, whichever is easiest for you.

It seems such a shame not to have a complete record of the pubs we used to drink in so that we can share our mis-spent youth with future generations.

Re: The Pubs of Accrington

Might one of you who lives in Acc go into the Town Hall to find out which office controls licensing. They may give us a composite list of licensed premises. Also they may have a file on those premises which have fallen by the wayside so that the name of the club on Dale St can be ascertained. Perhaps it was not a WMC by name.

Not my area of town, but could Dale Street club have been known as The Stephenson Memorial Working Mens Club" - why that rings a bell with me, I really don't know

More questions:-
Big Crown - next to viaduct on Blackburn Road
Confirm Funnies was in the same building
Was Morts licensed? - Where was that?
Should we include other licensed premises ie. Elite Snooker club etc.

Yeh n funnies was in same building, Morts was NOT licenced, which was happen as well. Morts door was right next to the Big Crown, small doorway n up the stairs yeh went. Original Elite in Centre was never licensed.
