Puzzle 21

Here is a good one. Where do you think this one is? You may be surprised. It might not look it in the picture but the water was crystal clear.

20,000 Ackers for the person who comes up with the following:-

A, the name of the stream.
B, the location of the tunnel in the pic.

Re: Puzzle 21

Bottom of Oak Street. Is it Woodnook Water? Can't be the Stink can it? I'm never sure which bit of what is which because most of the town's rivers and brooks are hidden.

Re: Puzzle 21

First it's Oak Hill Park, then it's Oak Street. What's going on?

Oh, by the way, no.

Re: Puzzle 21

No, not nit-picking, it's just that there are several streams which progress through our lovely town and I want to be clear that you have named the correct one. As you observed earlier, it can be confusing trying to decide which one is which. And the object of the competition is to bring into the minds of the general readership facts about our lovely town of which they might not have been previously aware, in a caring and ethnically diverse way, with full access for the disabled and an awareness of IMS issues.

Re: Puzzle 21

Well Doug has named it for you so I suppose he gets the Ackers. I did mean the Hyndburn although I still agree that it's difficult to know which bit goes where when short lengths of water pop up in different locations. If it turns out that bit isn't the Hyndburn I'll be rather surprised and I wasn't actually aware that any of the Borough's other little trickles and tributaries had been honoured with the designation "River Stink"

Re: Puzzle 21

This is what I thought, this little trickle is not the Hyndburn.
