Yep, Stop & Rest is right next to Rhyddings Park. Pretty sure it's still open - it certainly was last time me and Cashy went in.

Re: The Pubs of Accrington

The Pub in Clayton i have named the Castle, is wrong Name. The Castle was further down and along the canal bank then on left just down Chequers, I think the mistake was actually called Commercial?? but not certain, Claytoners will know fer sure.

I think we are up to date now and thanks for adding pubs.

I have added Great Harwood and Baxenden to the drop down list as you appear to be travelling further and further for your virtual beer

If you saying the building with the 'J' is Barnes Furniture, The curve in the road of the sketch shows it to be in Cannon St. where Barnes used to be, before they moved into bigger premises in Church St, past the pub, and just below the cinema entrance. In that case, the sketch was drawn before they moved. It also confirms with the position of the front door of the pub that it was on the corner of Church/Cannon St.

Yeah Cashy, Commercial was where the Balti Stan is now.

Great pub - Had my first pint in there. Castle was indeed on Chequers.
