Kate I dunno...to both of my answers.....gut feeling is lasagne......and stroganoff, but I expect to be wrong.
As for the Kangaroo thing...yes the Australians do eat skippy.......and crocs too.
I have had Kangaroo meat......didn't like it (no surprises there then) it has to be eaten very rare or it is very tough. The bit that I tried had only been shown the frying pan...and a good vet with an electric probe could have easily started it's motor again

Croc meat......never had that, but himself had a crocodile pie.....he said it was like chicken(this was 'farmed croc' fed on chicken so I guess it isn't surprising that it tasted like chicken).

Re: Foreign Foods Quiz.

re chicken kiev OR Tsiplenokovo Po-Kievski - i thought this might be the answer you were expecting, however the dish is originally french created by Nicolas (Francois) Appert who was a brewer, pickler, confectioner, and chef who also discovered the principles of canning and preserving of food. the dish was taken to russia, as the Empress Elizabeth Petrovna preferred french food. it is believed that it was named the kiev in new york to appease the russian poulation and the name was then brought back to europe. it didn't become popular in russia until after wwII
