Susan Boyle was tremendous, she stated before she sang that she had never been kissed, well no surprise there, but without guidance, she will have plenty of unscrupulous hangers on by the next show, along with 2 dozen relatives that she wasnt aware of!

Haha, exactly Jaysay. (your cuosin susan), I tried to blow a hot water bottle up many years ago, after watching it on telly, it is not for the faint hearted, a lot harder than it looks, not sure I would class it as a talent though!

There's a chap in Warrington who owns a gym and he was on "Opportunity Knocks", 30 years ago, blowing up a hot water bottle. It was his one and only claim to fame. :D

Hee hee.........blowing a hot water bottle up. :D

What makes people decide to do these things? Blowing hot water bottles up, eating x amount of whatever in so many minutes, growing their nostril hair to 12 inches etc etc......how do they think them up?

They probably sit in on a Saturday night and watch the tv, lose the will to live at all the cheap programmes involving members of the public and try to find something else to amuse themselves, ie growing nasal hair to extremes or putting pegs on their face, it's gotta be better than watching the current dross.:D

The chap with the Ferrero Rochers was one of the highlights last week. Now, I may be alone in thinking he was winding up the judges like a cuckoo clock but what other reason would there be to have him on the show? It was so stupid and banal it was funny.

We thrive on this sort of thing, in this country, don't we? There was a woman, many years ago when I was still at school, who used to tear telephone directories with her bare hands. She was often on the telly and - that was all she did! No, I tell a lie, she may have bent the odd poker as well. :D
