I read today that Susan Boyle's family think she should cut loose from BGT as she is "already a big star". They are telling her she is too big to go into the BGT semi final and are pestering for her to record a "single". Where were they before she went on the show, did they think she was so great back then?

I think her very adequate voice was more of a shock because everyone expected her to sound like a cat being strangled.

I thought she was averagely good last time with the song from Les Mis, but thought she was worse than average with her rendition of Memories from Cats.

The first note was as flat as a pancake, though she managed to recover a little.

Away from all the hype, I think she has no better a voice tham hundreds of others, performing in musical Am Dram groups throughout the country.

Her kookiness, flirting with Piers and doing Manuel from Fawlty Towers, is starting to grate too.

I didnt like her singing tonight either .. in fact i secretly hoped she wouldnt go through ... as it is the royal variety performance .. theres going to be enough singers with all the groups and singers that will be there .. i want something different .. prefer diversity .... they were brilliant .. something a bit different and wide age range .. and before anyone says owt .. that bloke with all them holes etc YUCK that was a bit too horrible ... i wouldnt want to watch that at the variety ...

anyone know whos on tomorrow?

The stripping Elephant Man, the tap dancing Siamese Twins, the bearded lady contortionist, and the Flaming Midgets.

I bet Mrs. Thatcher had no idea when she closed down all the long term institutions, and created Care in the Community, that it would evolve into a successful talent show, with a television crew instead of nurses.

:D

thinking about that did you notice the black and white minsterals dissapeared round about the same time as she got rid of the miners

is it possible they were going straight from the mines and performing as the misterals because you never saw the two in the same place at the same time and it would explain how they got their black faces so perfect

Have seen better over the last year in Am Drams Garinda .. I lie not.
Just watched her ... she really was shaky, and will need to lift herself up quite considerably to win this competition.

Didn't think that Natalie was anything special either .. not much personality came across ... wasn't relaxed, which makes an audience uncomfortable.
