Whilst I think what you're doing is a fantastic idea, why don't you do it on a small scale first to test the market. That way you can establish it and then apply for funding.

There are lots of really big funding pots out there that you could go for once you're established.

Yes I know, that's why I am looking for a building, if the people on the forum can help and make suggestions it will help me get it off the planning table more quickly.

So far there has been some good info.

I know the support is there.

Why not try the local schools - some of them have large halls and/or sports halls built on

They are not available during the day and weekend use is limited.

Unless the hall is detached from the school access is a problem due to child protection issues.

Not too helpful but archery is a very popular thing up here in lancaster, the university have an archery society. The bows are huge! I never realised how big they were. Looks like a lot of fun but it looks too risky for a clumsy person like me!

Yer Lancaster has a very good club and facilities. Although the bows look quite long they are sized to suit each individual. Unless you have a serious medical condition that impairs your hand eye coordination then after an hour or two, you will soon be shooting with confidence and eradicating you clumsiness.

We have some archers who suffer with Dyspraxia who manage very well..

If you get the opportunity then have a go. Just be careful as it is a very enjoyable and addictive sport.
