It's great living in here.

It's disputed by no one that the nightlife in Accy has gone down the pan, compared with twenty, ten, or even just a couple of years ago.

Even the pub/club owners will tell you that, after cashing up their dwindling takings.

It's not surprising really. In the last week, sometime, a pint of Guinness in a tin has gone up by nearly a fifth at the nearest offy (Whiteheads in Great Harwood). It's still only £1.10 a pint, compared with £2.50 at the pub.

The risk of being glassed in the face is slightly lower too. As long as I don't look at the missus the wrong way, I'm safe, but even if not: She's a nurse, and will look after me just to keep the blood off the carpet.

Agree with the shopping bit but where do you you draw the line?
Please dont talk about football, thats hurts you more than it hurts me if you are a dingle. :)

I'm a red through and through Roy. One frontier where Accy will always win over Burnley :)

Whats a single girls supposed to do??

5 years in sunnier clims and i can't believe how things have changed...maybe its just cause i am getting old!! lol:D

.

if you remember shifters you could be considered old ..

if you remember the bees knees having sewing machines as tables then you are definatly old

not too worry though you still refer to shifters as shifters so dont get your zimmer frame out yet lol

Accy born and bred! Lived here all my life and although the town centre nightlife may have died out quite a bit (or be full of people you wouldnt want to socialise with) you can still have a good night out, a night is what you make it :D and with good company can be done almost anywhere.

I pop back on the odd occassion and see what is happening and proberly things that residents dont. Thing is we need to but the same effort into helping accy as we do knocking it.
