Glad that you are feeling better......wheat bags and Voltarol...a winning team!
Unless you try to rub on the wheat grains and heat up the voltarol......thenits not so good! :).
I'll get my coat.

Perhaps some of the reasons are

on some relatively serious issues we get the regulars who think its amusing to go completely off subject and have some injokes with their cronies that the majority of members can't understand (if you want to amuse yourselves why not go on facebook etc)

why do some members feel they have to contribute to every thread with ramblings that add nothing to the thread

this thred starts by asking about accyweb and it develops into a discussion about the merits of plastic glasses rather than the merits of the website

I appreciate that the above comments may not be well received by the incrowd that hog everything on the site. ( I would guess there are no more than 30 people who post more than 90% of the posts)

I think you miss the point with your "injokes with their cronies" remark, which is empty rhetoric anyway, tossed in as critical, rather than as a neutral observation. Perhaps some of us, like myself, use the off-topic banter in order to put a face, a personality, onto a comment or argument. Take out the human interaction, and any thread would be drier than a soda cracker fart.

Without the slight off topic input and a bit of ribbing then the fun is taken out of it. A conversation between a group of people in a pub or the street does not follow strict guide lines so the same should apply here. Take away the quirks and the banter then it loses its appeal and would become boring. Some of use get a giggle out of what is said when it meanders from the main stream and that is what makes it what it is on here. Without it it would die slowly as the fun would disappear along with people pretty fast. If it goes too far the mods set us back on course as is there job.

Quite right too Spugs, life is about being able to have a laugh, take away the fun and life is not worth living really, can you imagine Less Beni Me Thee Cashy Mick Grainda Eric, etc, coming on here every day and being totally serious, no me neither, Accy Web has peaks and troughs, ups and downs, old members go new ones take their places and the cycle carries on, and will still be going strong long after I've gone to that big web site in the sky
