it is probably the one about 'The last one to post to this thread is the winner'....or something along those lines.

Those who think Accyweb is dying need to go back and see the reponses when the site has shut down for a few hours.

shut the site down for a couple of days and see the resultant howls on its return....that would be a measure of how much Accyweb is missed.

As I have said before, it isn't compulsory to come here.

I think the number of regular posters is relativly small, could this be because threads are regularly hijacked be snide, small minded, bigotted, unrelated and generally unfunny comments?

Out with anger, in with love.

Perhaps you'd not be quite as bitter if you taken the time to read the forum rules. Then you'd realise that swearing, even when thinly disguised by replacement alpha/numeric substitutes, is against forum rules on this family site.

Some of the posts on Ross Web have as many as 1000 or more responces.

Or maybe Hedman would be better heeding the old saying better to keep ones mouth shut and let people think your a fool than opening it and taking away any reasonable doubt:D

That is quite judgemental. If you think we are small minded, then as I have said before......attendance on the site is not compulsory.

And if you want to change things you can only do it from the inside.
Why don't you try posting something of interest? Then if someone subverts the thread or makes irrelevant and unfunny posts you can notify a mod and they will take the appropriate action on your behalf.

Perhaps that isn't what you want.....perhaps all you want to do is carp.

I note that Archiveuk has made 85 posts since joining in 2005...so with members like that the site would have died long ago....I also note that this person doesn't contribute financially to the running costs of Accyweb. Both interesting points

Never seen any myself.

Though there are plenty of bigoted members.

As well as snide, and small minded posters, who'll happily point out hypocrisy, and helpfully provide examples of such behaviour.

;)

I guess that Archiveuk will deem this post as 'snide'

that "expensive trinket" was not expensive at all.... and watches are a hobby for a lot of people so was a worthy discussion. :D

i asked the question not to have a dig but because i was nearly as shocked it hadnt been mentioned as i wasa at seeing the police tape across the road.

i dont post as much now as i used to but thats my choice.
