Can anyone recommend a driving range?
Somewhere locally for my hubby to get rid of a bit of extra energy (!) by whacking some golf balls a few hundred metres?

The one that harwood red mentioned is Lee Valley and is pretty good, i smacked a few balls there myself over the years!!

Thanks for that guys (and thanks for the misquote Slinky - it made me giggle!)
The Rishton one sounds good - does anyone have an address for it or some directions from Baxenden? I thought I might try and 'buy' him some driving range time for Christmas or else it migt be one of those things he says he'll do and never gets around to... |

Go to whitebirk roundabout and take turning for rishton. When you get to traffic lights at lotus garage turn left. follow road round 2 right bends and driving range is about 50 metres on your left. If you get to Harwoods pub you have gone too far. ENJOY

Thanks for that! I have just found a phone number for them, called them and arranged to buy some vouchers for hubby so he will HAVE to use them up!
I knew about the one at Queen's Park but glad there is one a bit closer to home. Thanks for the help everyone! |

There is one on Preston New road, just past the KFC place going towards Preston, has a par 3 course as well.
