Neddy used to terrorise most of us non woodworking types unlike misters booth, day and company, neddy used whatever he held at the time for dishing out corporal punishment (3 by 2)? yes those where the days,
as a rider to this though,
I worked many years later with a lad who had been taught by him at woodnook and he claimed he was a great teacher

I left in 75, Neddy was a major terror and frothed at the mouth as well.

Mr Green!!! the Jabba the Huttesque English teacher with the annoying tongue flick affectation? was still there in the early nineties when I was leaving. I have never seen a person as broad around the waist wear trousers quite as high as he did!

Was there till 74. Anyone remember Mrs Thornton (Alice), English Teacher, unfortunately she passed away this week.

Used to laugh at Hywel Williams Science Teacher...none of his experiments ever worked!! Lol!

Yep i think so, i'm 50 now, but was one of the youngest in the year. I've a ruddy awfull memory though!!!

derek day was a brilliant teacher....he was a student teacher at St James school as was then (near Library) teaching my mother. Also loved being taught by Mr Green (English) - he was a really witty man. Funilly enough, those two were mates and used to eat their lunch together in the Cocker building - when it first opened in 1974 or so.

Hey, why don´t we see if any of us ex-cris´s pupils are interested enough to make a reunion....what do you think?????

Didnt need halloween with these teachers.
I did like our music teacher thou ithink her name was Brown.
Remember doing needlework on the second floor and the windows
were open when they first built the building and the skirt I was
making went out the window.Prayed that thread didnt break (it didnt).

I remember Miss Brown the music teacher, yes she was lovely. Also remember doing needlework in the Cocker building - that wasn't so lovely, I think the teacher was Mrs Livesey??, I was so rubbish at it she left my report blank one year :)
