ADAMSON family

Have just found a newspaper photo of the ADAMSON family, who came from Cambridge St, Accrington and also lived in Baxenden. They seemed to be publicans - Slaters Arms, Accy - Beehive Pub in Baxenden.

Anybody related?

Re: ADAMSON family

I think there was an Adamson who was the steward at Accrington Golf Club in late '40s early '50s. I last saw them when they were living in Stockport but no idea of the date. One son, Brian.

Not related, Atarah, just whilst on another thread (don't mention), had discovered they also lived in Stanley Street, as per this baptism record for St. James's:

Baptism: 21 Sep 1893 St James, Accrington, Lancashire, England
Janet Adamson - [Child] of Dixon Adamson & Janet
Born: 4 Sep 1893
Abode: 134 Stanley Street
Occupation: Collier
Baptised by: J P Petty
Register: Baptisms 1889 - 1900, Page 206, Entry 1640
Source: LDS Film 1470820

Dixon Adamson was the Landlord of the Slater's Arms in 1911.

Re: ADAMSON family

I feel sure the library will have one. Their photos are classified in street order. They will copy it for you for £1
