Re: London Underground explosions

Re: London Underground explosions
Thank God you're all safe & well. The b*****d's who did this planned it well. They knew there would be many people around & have done it to maximise the effect. It's bad enough and my heart goes out to the families of the dead But how much worse would it have been had it been yesterday with all those people waiting for the Olympic result.

Re: London Underground explosions
they've deffo done it to time it with g8 in scotland.
with both blair and livingstone away OMG i just seen this on another website... http://www.israelnn.com/news.php3?id=85346 Report: Israel Was Warned Ahead of First Blast 13:30 Jul 07, '05 / 30 Sivan 5765 (IsraelNN.com) Army Radio quoting unconfirmed reliable sources reported a short time ago that Scotland Yard had intelligence warnings of the attacks a short time before they occurred. The Israeli Embassy in London was notified in advance, resulting in Finance Minister Binyamin Netanyahu remaining in his hotel room rather than make his way to the hotel adjacent to the site of the first explosion, a Liverpool Street train station, where he was to address and economic summit. At present, train and bus service in London have been suspended following the series of attacks. No terrorist organization has claimed responsibility at this time. Israeli officials stress the advanced Scotland Yard warning does not in any way indicate Israel was the target in the series of apparent terror attacks. |
Re: London Underground explosions
this is absoulutly terrible but its good to see that the emergancies services and police etc are as prepared as they possibly could be and that the plans that they have had in place seem to be working regarding shuting down phone network, and using buses as temporary places to treat the injured.
How could somebody do this its discraceful and then to own up to it as it seem this group have http://www.sky.com/skynews/article/0...188265,00.html |
Re: London Underground explosions
mail is reporting it as well
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/liv...n_page_id=1770 British police told the Israeli Embassy in London minutes before Thursday's explosions they had received warnings of possible terror attacks in the city, a senior Israeli official said. Israel was holding an economic conference near the scene of one of the explosions. Israeli Finance Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was supposed to attend, but the attacks occurred before he arrived. Just before the blasts, Scotland Yard called the security officer at the Israeli Embassy and said warnings of possible attacks had been received, the official said. He did not say whether British police made any link to the economic conference. |
Re: London Underground explosions

Sick |
Re: London Underground explosions
it says they told the embassy minutes before
not that they found out minutes before |
Re: London Underground explosions
Glad to hear that the Accyweb members are safe and accounted for.
