Re: London Underground explosions
Glad to see everyone is OK
Well, almost everyone. I was on the train on the Piccadilly Line as I had a meeting in London last Thursday. I had to go to hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation. I'm ok now, but it is not an experience I wish to repeat. |

Re: London Underground explosions
Nice to know your ok Vorlon, It just goes to show very few people go totally untouched by an incident like this. Look after yourself mate and don’t hang about it there’s any post trauma effects, get yourself shorted.

Re: London Underground explosions
Glad to see that you're safe and sound Vorlon, although, a few of us were worried about you when we met Roy for a drink on Saturday night. We had noticed that you weren't online for a day or 2, and hoped that you had just gone on holiday or something.:)

Re: London Underground explosions
Well, we are still cordoned off, although the police are being really unkind and letting me out to go to work! Was interviewed by Japanese tv news on Saturday, so if anyone is in the land of the rising sun, let me know! Also on Saturday, I saw four coachloads of BT police setting off for Kings Cross - I knew what they were going to have to do, and I really felt for them. No-one has any real idea of the death toll so far, as they don't know how many bodies are still underground. It is so sad, all around our area the shops have home made posters asking for help with missing family/friends. Sadly it is unlikely that any of them will now be found safe. I was shopping on Saturday looking at the posters, and an elderly Muslim lady and I hugged one another and kissed, a total stranger, but we have to be one nation at a time like this.
Any news on Tintin's aunt? If I can help at all, somebody let me know, if it's only providing drinks and moral support. |
Re: London Underground explosions
The family wish at this stage not to make any comments on their situation and perhaps we should reflect that wish here also.
The family is very Distraught, as we can all imagine. All we can do is sit and wait and hope things turn out ok for them. Our thoughts and hopes also go out to them. Enough said, I think. |
Re: London Underground explosions
I agree, Len. I think this thread should be ended now. Some of us were lucky on thursday, but for others uncertainty is about to be followed by heartbreak. Out of respect for them ,let us finish it now.

Re: London Underground explosions
I would be inclined to agree with Tealeaf on this one.
