work has started
 
went down town at dinner and half of broadway was fenced off

been down later this afternoon and the digger has started digging up those damned cobbles

hip hip hooray :)

Just got back from town. Why are they ripping up the cobbles as they haven't been down long & what are they going to replace them with

i have no idea what they are replacingthem with but i hope it is going to be somthing that isnt as slippy as ice when wet like the cobbles were

ive no idea either what they are being replaced with,just dont hold out much hope for something nice and practical after all it is H.B.C. lol

The fencing it right outside my shop. It feels like we are ina prison camp - it took them about 5 hours to get the fences up though, so I don't see the work being finished anytime soon!

Like I said in another post.....I heard a man from the Council telling the Manageress of the heart foundation shop that they would have it completed by Christmas......!

sounds about right for the council, dig it up say 3days , let it fill up with water 2months , fix it 21days , fill in 3days , job tacks 3months....... thats ok...

Just for you Acrylic-bob i got up at 6am and took these pics........ yawn
They were taken at about 6-30am .
if you look the forman is on site already hehe

Please note the forman in the 3rd pic ready to start work also the last pic rubbish outside the Town hall hehe
I will go down again in a few days and take some more.
This will give them a chance to have a brew and get there shovels of the lorry.
And to wake the forman up !:)
