Re: First fairy grotto.

Well I have my tree up. Mainly to shut the bl@@dy kids up at the weekend. Every two minutes " mum can we put the tree up" " mum when we putting the tree up" and in the end I gave in.

To be quite honest i think it is up to individual preference when we put decorations up. Some people do it very early, and others do it quite late.

Ginger goes absolutely mad every single year, with lights all over the outside of the house. He has done this since the children were very small.
Every year without fail I get people with young children looking in the house for 20 minutes at a time at our house at Christmas.
One lady across the road, her little girl won't go to bed until she has put her little girls coat and hat on and brought her to look at our house. Then the little girl will go to bed. Cars drive past and stop, usually I forget that the lights are there and end up saying to ginger, " what the bloody hell are they looking at":o Only to be reminded that we are living in a grotto.

I suppose it's what makes us all different!!!

Awww what a nice Mum and Dad your kids have. It is a magical time for children.

I'm just glad they don't nag you to put up the decorations in the summer holidays though.;)
