It's not the kind of thing I'd be eager to watch but I can see how it probably would attract people. Like you say though it is seriously sick and not considering the family's feelings much.

My daughter is a huge fan I would hate to think of the ammount of distress it would cause her. I hope his family for the sake of his kids dont let it be broadcast and try to keep it of the net.

Now we read that the some Australians are considering a State Funeral for this clown. This is appaling. As far as I am aware, the only person who can authorise a state funeral in Australia is the head of state. I do trust that Her Majesty will therefore place a sound veto on this nonsense developing any further.

I am sure most sensible Aussies will agree with me.

His family have happily turned down the offer.

They should save this great honour for when a real Aussie icon passes over....like Skippy.

If they were really clever, they would just feed his body to the crocs; that would be a fitting legacy to his enviromental/conservationist/recycling ideals; surely, he would have no complaints.

Find it disgusting that his "peers" in the conservation world are now so quick to criticise him now he's not around to defend himself. Mears and Nutkins, you should be ashamed of yourselves, get back under your rocks, not fit to be mentioned in the same thread as Steve Irwin.

What did that grumpy (because he isn't on the telly anymore) little Terry Nutkin say?

It just smacked of professional jealousy;saying Steve Irwin used the animals as props etc.Basically jealous cos he has no hair,no tv deal and no career !

Some didnt have the hazelnuts to critisize him when he was alive as he would have brought them down rapid. Like all things its easyier to belittle the dead than the living and is a very shallow action in my view.

Seriously people, Steve Irwin was a **i*k who felt the need to play "master" to the animal kingdom. He had no respect for animals and, frankly, got what he deserved.

Think this quote is totally out of order:(

Re: Crikey!! (Steve Irwin)

No respect for animals? This is a man who would rather capture a croc in a swimming pool and release it into the wild rather than shoot it as some people would do.

Re: Crikey!! (Steve Irwin)

He also put a lot of money into saving & conserving the rain forrest, the family have refused offers of a state funeral & should be remembered for the work he has done for sake of the animals & conservation - which was passed onto him from his parents. Its very unfair to diss a person especially when dead & not about to defend himself, his family dont need it at this time.
