WTF is up with all the people on here extolling him like he's a HERO?. What about the 14 RAF personnel killed in the air crash in Afghanistan. Are any of you "sending prayers" to their family and friends? (maybe I missed that forum)
Where are your "the good die young" postings for these guys? We won't even go into the 177 British troops who have died in the Iraq or the 21 killed in Afghanistan. That would just be too obvious.
Seriously people, Steve Irwin was a **i*k who felt the need to play "master" to the animal kingdom. He had no respect for animals and, frankly, got what he deserved.

Glad i am not the only one offended by this post-Perhaps its you who is the **i*k steeljack.

Well said norwich stanley. Couldn't have put it better myself.

All of you people who think Steve was a jerk and used animals as props... are entitled to your opinions... but did any of you know him.. I mean the man behind the tv personality? Did you ever see him in normal surrounds, like doing the grocery shopping with his little girl sat on is shoulders while he pushed round the trolley? Did you ever see him working with animals when the cameras werent on? Tv was about 10% of what he did... he could have done without it, but it was a way to get his message across, that no matter how dangerous an animal was, or how ugly or scary... it still deserved to be treated right and had a right to life.. that every animal no matter how big or small matters just as much as the rest. Everyday of his life, when the cameras werent rolling, he was still out there, doing things just the same way.... and I did get the chance to see him in everyday life, at the supermarket, walking round town, and doing what he did best, saving animals in need..... he never changed, he lived life the the max and went out of it doing what he loved to do. I dont see many of you out there saving crocs from being shot, or walking thorough fires to save animals in danger? why is that? is it because you dont think they matter... or because you just dont have the b**ls to put yourselves out there where you might get hurt? I know i certainly dont... But I certainly admired and appreciated a man who did!! RIP Steve...

Jimmy Nail is to sing Crocodile Shoes at Steve Irwin's funeral.

Sting was the first choice but that was considered inappropriate.

I'm out of order so I removed my sick joke. :o sorry
