Thank you for your views Greg.

It isn't just politics. The British have a love of lauding people and then seeing them torn down.

Perhaps its just a withdrawl symtom since public executions and the burning of witches was outlawed.:D

[quote=jambutty]Should Tony Blair GO?

Unequivocally YES! Before he can do more damage to this country. OK! So he may have done a bit of good in some areas but overall he has not been good for the country. The rich have got richer and the poor have got poorer. The NHS is in a mess as is education, police, fire service, public transport etc.

Nice to see you all back in action now that the site has been restored. I think Tony Blair is a very eloquent man and I enjoy watching him during PM's question time whenever I get the chance. Politicians tend to stay in office way too long. They need to contribute, then go home and live in the real world like the rest of us have to.

I make it a point of never voting for anyone who promises to give me things. The role of government should be limited. The more they try to do the worse it gets. They are incapable of walking and chewing gum at the same time. It will not matter which party next comes into office....there will never be enough money to provide all the services you want under the NHS. (And I had that straight from the mouth of a Labour M.P. several years ago). So don't get your hopes up folks.

Well Mr Farrer, we all know where to look for the muppets and puppets, leading local Tory Councillor Wyn Frankland told us all where to look.....

..... in the local Conservative Party..

Two S@!* Prescott, cash for honours, cash for passports, cash for visas, the list goes on and on, and you won't find that on Labours Wed site Gayle

And the our local social housing is wrecked (local tories) and private landlords are running amok due to local policies on planning (local tories) and regeneration (local tories). We officially have the dirtiest streets in East Lancashire (local tories) and believe it or not the FIFTH dirtiest streets in the whole of the North West (local tories). Our council owes more money than any other local council (local tories) and we have a £500,000 backlog on tree work which due to local negligence (local tories) will mean the removal of some 1000 mature trees from our parks and open spaces. We have had massive Council Tax rises by the local council (local tories) and massive cuts in services (local tories). The local council has had the highways contract taken off them (local tories) due to waste and inefficiency. Our licensing department is in chaos and not fit for purpose (local tories) and our planning policies are ineffective and inefficent - think amusement arcades - takeaways to start with (local tories). Our regeneration has had millions from Gordon Brown but most of it has been wasted (local tories). Most of the privatsation schemes that have introduced are floundering or have been wound up (local tories).

Only a Labour hater could vote Conservative at a Hyndburn local election!
