Danger foods

Right lets see if any of you know of any "Danger foods" for instance:

A couple of hours ago i was happily making stew for the kids tea peeled and cut the spuds, no problem.
Peeled and cut the carrots, no problem.
Peeled and cut the onion, no problem.
Boiled the kettle and poured the water not a problem.

Opened the can of corned beef, not a problem went to remove the lid PROBLEM  nearly removed my thumb large raggid gash in my thumb bleeding like hell hurt like hell see the flesh inside the whole shebang!

I was very careful removing the lid as i have cut myself before but the tin kind of slipped out of my hand and then the tin bite me!

So i am declaring Corned beef my number 1 danger food.

What is yours and why?

When you have a shakey hand like mine, which has a mind of its own, all food is dangerous.:D

I particularly hate the sealed plastic packs that bacon, ham, salami etc. comes in. The one with the little bit on the corner that's meant to tear back, and let you peel back the whole top off easily. I've never managed it, and have to result to stabbing about with a knife, which for me, or anyone unfortunate enough to be near me, can be quite quite hazardous.

Those of us without YOUR problem, have that problem! They are just stupid bits of pakaging!

(If they a least gave us a clue by colouring the corner we need), with me it's, do I search for the easy open corner and starve to death or do I risk going in with the knife?

The knife always wins!

:D Don't be sorry.

If I can make just one child smile, an old lady giggle, or Accy Jay roll about laughing, my job here is done, and I can then return to my own planet.

I hate those containers too. I don't think the people who designed them have ever had to open one.

Frozen peas can be quite dangerous. They have a way of sneaking out of the freezer when you're not looking and landing in the pile of washing on its way into the washing machine. Not exactly life threatening but not good.

Re: Danger foods

Why do you keep your laundry in front of the freezer. Bizarre

Re: Danger foods

The washing machine is very close to the freezer. When the washing comes down from the laundry basket to the washng machine it rests temporarily upon the floor in front the machine whilst I open the door - the same bit of floor occupied by any renegade pea which may have escaped from said freezer.

Ah.............
My poor baby. I have to agree the dreaded corn beef can has to be one of the biggest hazards ever.
It's about time these confounded things were banned.

Re: Danger foods

Lamb chops .. why do I nearly set my grill pan on fire 80% of the time, have to open the windows 'cause the smoke alarms are going off and open the windows wide, plus the fact no handle on the grill and burnt fingures in the process in my panic to withdraw it away from the elements ??

Maybe, I should not be such a dirty slut and clean it more often. :o
