Re: Police! Ambulances! Willows Ln/Ormerod St
I saw the whole thing and it was terrible,i was standing right at the front of the fern gore bus with Mick (the car that knocked the lad over was coming towwards us)and we saw the whole tragic accident,i am still quite shaken-btw it wasnt a 4x4 that knocked him flying it was a normal car.needless to say the driver was shaken up too.
AS SOON AS ANYONE KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT THE CONDITION OF THE BOY PLEASE LET ME KNOW. |
Re: Police! Ambulances! Willows Ln/Ormerod St

Ginger missed a kid by inches last year.....the kid run out into willows lane, luckily ginger had just turned the corner so was only doing about 12 - 15 mph but he was badly shaken even by that. He had to pull over, he was white as a ghost and nearly puked up. The kid just turned and laughed with his mates. Kids eh  |
Re: Police! Ambulances! Willows Ln/Ormerod St
Sorry to say but the child is known to us.He is the younger brother of my eldest daughters mate.Cant tell you how he is as the teachers told the other pupils nothing. He is local from the Garbutt St area, but I dont think it would be a bright idea to put his name on here.

Re: Police! Ambulances! Willows Ln/Ormerod St
True point mthead as he is known to us too which makes the tragedy even more harder to bare.
All thoughts & prayers to his family |

Re: Police! Ambulances! Willows Ln/Ormerod St
My girls know the family too, and from having had a similar experience 3 years ago I can imagine what that poor mother is going through right now. We've just been on the bus and got off at the top of Ormerod St. The police have marked the road which is good because they didn't do any of that when Mimi had her accident. I'm glad they have done this properly this time. The medical care Mimi got at Queens Park was brilliant - he'll be in good hands there.

Re: Police! Ambulances! Willows Ln/Ormerod St
Received a text message from accymel, she spoke to his sisters on ormerod street this evening. He's been very lucky, he's fine but will have to stay in hospital, they think he may need a skin graft for an injury to his leg and back.
