My better half carries his dad's service semi - a Colt .45. Never had to face an intruder, (and hope we never do). However, are prepared should that time ever come.

Here in Georgia, you have a right to protect yourself, family and property. And that's how it should be.

Wish you would just stop bragging about your weapons and gun law in America bullseyebarb .. doesn't impress here in the U.K.

a 38 , loaded with snake-shot , usually keep it in my vehicle for use in the pipe yard at work (lots of rattlesnakes that love to hide under the pipe ) and a small 22 , think its in my sock drawer ,

Permits required in California , police background check and 14 day waiting period , (just in case your depressed or had a row with the wife )
ammo no problem , as much as you want when you want , usually best to wait till what you use goes on sale , Walmart is the cheapest .;)
