If you're single, it just reminds you of it, and also of your failed relationships in the past.

If you're in love with someone, you have to shell out shedloads of money to tell them something that they know anyway

If you're with someone, but not in love, then it is just plain awkward, and you'll end up just as out of pocket

The catholic church had a clearout of dodgy saints in 1969 one of whom was St Valentine.

Doesn't really stack up as a day worth celebrating does it , it's initials are probably more appropriate... Happy VD :D

The romance and mystery of a Valentine’s card has been taken over by commercialism.

The real problem is that most people have forgotten the original purpose of a St Valentine’s Day card.

Valentine cards with or without a gift were supposed to be anonymous with maybe a small clue as to who sent it.

Forget it at your own risk !!!

I was greeted this morning with some flowers and a lovely card from Tony who never ever remembers anything... christmas, birthday, anniversary cards etc...

Imagine the shock on my face the moment I remembered it was valentines day.... just as I walked into the kitchen to find the flowers and card on the table and I had no present in return :o :o He just sat there grinning at me like I was joking...

Now, He's just so happy that he remembered something. I forgot & He didn't. Just my Luck :)

Oh well another 18 years of him reminding me!!!!. (Theres a story behind that remark.)...When we met 18 years ago, (1 week before his birthday.) 1 week!!!, I asked him what he wanted for his birthday, he told me not to buy him anything... so I didn't and to this day he still goes on about it...

The things I have to put up with ;) :D

But I wouldn't have things any other way...

Love You Tony :foryou:

Do you forgive me now ;)

Just do what you women usually do at a time like this, accuse him of having a guilty conscience, it will make him totally frustrated because he knows he can't win and gives you that sense of satisfaction because he will then spend the rest of the year trying to make up for something that he hasn't done wrong!
