I had flu over Christmas, starting on December 23rd. It was real flu, nothing to do with a cold, just a terrible cough, aching limbs and a high temperature. I was unable to get out of bed for 4 days, as my legs wouldn't support me, then I was poorly for another 2 weeks. It took 2 more weeks after that before I began to get my strength back - hadn't been so ill for years.

Now that we're getting near Spring and the days are getting longer I think all out immune systems get a bit of a boost but, unfortunately, it never seems to work with colds. I haven't had a cold for nearly a year - oops! -where's a bit of wood to touch?......... :(

i know how your feeling mel, i was the same last week and the week before,tired all the time but couldnt sleep properly, hot,bunged up nose,sick,and aching all over....it aint nice :(

Yup thats exactly it Shaz, altho its put me on my aching back too, i hate feeling like this & dont make a good patient, im usually a burst of good health most of the time:rolleyes:

LOL no not seen shaz since meet, so shes not guilty, dunno where i got it from unless i got it whilst at the stanley :confused:

Thats possible so who was around you with the sniffles? Identify them then sue em for misery caused. :)

Its right im having a day off housework - relaxing - well till my peace is shattered by my herd - then it will be trying to get better & some TLC wouldnt go amiss either hehehehehee :D

So not all bad - sniff sniffle!:D

Depends on what you class as TLC. The kids might hand some over but there is more chance of the Coppice growing to the size of Pendle Hill by this time tomorrow. :eek:

GWS and chill while you get a chance. Plenty of hot toddies. :D

Get better soon Mel. Im lucky this year - havent had nowt - had a couple of sniffles and thats it.

Aw dear Mummiboo thats how it started for me tho i had the sniffles as well & now full blown explosion thats kept me in my room most of the day so far - hoping no exertion will kill it LOL

Is it domestos that now kills the flu bug on spray :rolleyes:
