They are obviously not the same kind of people we've been grumbling about then and probably wouldn't want to be classed as the same.
My friend's grandfather lives on a permanent caravan site. A lot of people do, and they look after the area and they are respectable people. It's not the same. Sorry if anything I have said in this thread has offended anyone. I did not intend to do so. I just don't like people who make a mess of other people's facilities (car parks, land or whatever) and then just clear off and leave it for others to clean up. |

The solution to this in my opinion, is to allocate and sell or lease the land to the Travellers and let them regulate it themslves, as they do in Moscow Mill St. This way it would be hopefully kept clean and tidy. I am quite sure the Travelling Community know who the 'bad apples' are and would soon turn them away, the only stumbling block to this idea is where? NIMBY.

If there already are site (such as Whinney Hill) then that solves the problem - apart from those not welcome on the sites by the decent folks who would still end up on Aldi car park.
