We still call each other Joeys (as mentioned in post no 8)but only at work or depending what company i'm in.Showing my age as i remember him in Blue Peter.

It's a North American thing ... not necessarily an insult ... used to describe any kid of the "playing on the rug (carpet) age."

Well actually, SPANNER is the new word. Used to be numpty, previously div. But YOU SPANNER is the best at the mo!:)

I think spaz is a horrible word. It means spastic, though I'm sure nobody here means it that way, and it's one of the reasons the Spastic Society changed its name to Scope. I would never call anyone by that name, even in fun, having a 14 year old great niece who, though highly intelligent and very pretty, has what used to be called a "spastic" arm.

Hehehe.. That brings back memories. Spanner is not a new one it has been recycled. I remember using it in the 80's..:D
