Yes i can rembber when they came down cross street in osw and you got a donkey stone off them to do your door step in it but i am still young.

I remember when the women would stone the step and sometimes the flags. It was true Lancashire pride ... maybe you lived in an old terraced house, but the step was always stoned (now it's the kids that are always stoned) and the front door was immaculate, the knocker and the mailbox polished ...

Going off thread in a light hearted manner,I am quite convinced that the last animal I saw on the street was a pink Elephant, pulling a brightly coloured cart, If anyone reading this post doubted the fact that there is such a thing as re-incarnation, start beleiving now.If you can read this I am still alive.:D

I've just seen two shire horses pulling a wedding carriage. The horses looked brilliant, they even had flowers in the same colours as the brides woven into their manes. They really did look magnificent.
