Is Accrington likely to flood?

Check out this site to see if your area is in danger of flooding.

Up here we seem to be pretty safe but the roundabout under the viaduct looks to be the focus of most of the water.

Scaitcliffe House looks none too safe either. I wonder if PB & Co have got any dinghies.

PB can walk on water, wouldn't need a boat :D

It says mine is 0.1% (1 in 1000) or less so I should be ok.:)

At least his office is on the top floor, maybe he will have to be rescues by a Sea King helicopter like on TV the other day.

It's just made me think about that posh new building that's going up next to the lodge down there! :D Great selling point for flats - overlooking Accrington' flood plain!

Looks like I just miss out, the area around the viaduct and the dip in Church going down Henry St just about save me, But the Bridge Inn looks at risk, likely that they may have to sell some watered down beer if it does happen.:D

I'm just wondering if the Hyndburn overflows will it burst up through the floor in Wilkinsons?

It will take a lot before we flood here chez Whisp. I'm rather glad now that we didn't move to Morecambe.

i was flooded once, and its not very nice, you dont just get the damage you get the smell too, which was horrendous, i was cleaning for weeks, i hope it doesnt happen again, i dredd it everytime it rains hard, i find myself looking out the window, waiting to see a river coming:(
