We have already covered this point in another thread Mallard, and as mentioned on a Trevor Macdonal programme t'other night, testing 2 drivers whilst being distracted .. how many laws can you bring in for distractions ? Mobile phones, smoking, changing CD's, drinking, sat nav., looking in mirror, talking to children in the back ... the list would be endless.

Having said all this, suggest a law is brought in for use of mobile phones whilst pushing a pram; lady in Blackburn today, wearing the full Muslim outfit , mobile phone in hand, therefore one hand on pram, had very little respect for my shins. !!! Ouch !

Actually if your back passengers arent wearing their seat belts there is a significant risk of badly injuring the person in front of them, even if they are buckled in. Causes more severe whiplash I think and its potentially fatal.

I think it is more irresponsible for back seat drivers not to wear a seatbelt. In an accident the force of the impact would push that person against the front seat passenger or driver with the equivalant of over 2 tonnes, I think we can definately say more than likely causing fatal injuries to themselves and/or to the person seated in the front!!!
