Aye and as for it being too strong... . . . it's espresso! I had that size while working in Miami. It was Cuban Espresso. Had never had it (of any kind) before. Seem to remember I stayed awake for a couple days after that.

Make my coffee somewhat strong but with cream/milk and honey!

Really posh continental cafes serve it with a glass of mineral water on the side as standard.

Bernie, rather than waste the £1.25 you should have gritted your teeth and knocked it back in one - believe me, it can give you quite a boost!

I'm off to Manchester now to have one myself, followed by a double shot cappuccino. I'll be flying round those shops!

Never had an expresso. What would it be like in comparison to a cup of coffee with two/three teaspoons of coffee in?

no comparison - real expresso comes with a 'crema' fine layer of very fine mini froth on its surface, which cannot be replicated.

The Spagetti benders invented 'coffe' to take the taste of their crap food away, in Spain it's that bad, they put cheap Apricot Brandy in it. Italians, well ask any of their 'war heroes' where they got their courage from.:D

Customer. “Waiter, this coffee tastes like mud.”

Waiter. “That’s not surprising sir. It was only ground this morning.”
